Q: Do you give free estimates?

A: Yes, though there are geographic limitations. The estimate is free, however, there may be a design fee if there is no set design for us to use in the process of the estimate. If you can define the major points of the project and tell us what you are looking for, we’re able to offer a complimentary estimate. If you need more help visualizing and laying out the space, we have fantastic custom design services with 3D renderings.

Q: What is the first step?

A: First, we want to gather as much information and ask you questions during our discovery call and phone consultation. This jump-starts the process and allows us to interview each other to make sure we both agree it’s a good fit. There are a few other things that you can do beforehand, like gathering images or magazine photos of other projects that appeal to you. Start thinking about what features you would like included in your project. Do you want to extend the season of the space with a fire feature? Do you want a small water feature by your front walkway? Do you want to extend the hours that you can use your new deck or patio with soft landscape lighting? Send us photos of what you like and your job site as a reference during your phone consultation.

Q: How much is your design fee?

A: It will range depending on the scale and scope of the project. It could be as little as $500 or up to $2,000.

Q: How long will our consultation last?

A: Plan for 45 minutes to one hour. For more complex projects, more than one hour will be needed.

Q: Will you mess up my grass during construction?

Yes. You have to break some eggs to make an omelet! Building an outdoor living space has elements of demolition and excavation and requires machinery to move tons and tons of materials in and out. The amount of turf damage and ruts created depends on recent weather and your soil.

Our team respects your property and will do everything they can to minimize turf damage while making sure the project stays on schedule. If you want to have a finished yard after construction, talk to us about lawn restoration services.

Q: Do you offer financing options?

A: We have a relationship with lenders that specialize in financing home improvement projects. Let us know if you want to pursue this option.

Q: How much will my project cost?

A: That really depends on your choices and what you want to accomplish. The most common range we see is $25,000 – $50,000, which will get you a great project. Something that looks like a magazine photo will be well over six figures.
